Terms and Conditions of Use and Purchase

1.⁠ ⁠Store Identification

2.⁠ ⁠Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Tarelo.pt website, as well as the terms and conditions of the purchase and sale of products – including wines, alcoholic beverages, and related items – made available through the WooCommerce platform.
By purchasing any product from the Tarelo Online Store, the user accepts these Terms and Conditions of Use and Purchase.


3.⁠ ⁠Legal Age

  • ⁠The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited to persons under 18 years of age.
  • By placing an order on this website, the user declares to be 18 years old or older.

4.⁠ ⁠Products and Prices

  • All product prices include VAT at the applicable legal rate.
  • ⁠Prices are subject to change without prior notice and are valid at the time the order is placed.
  • Images are for illustrative purposes only; variations in labels, vintages, or packaging may occur.

 

5.⁠ ⁠Shipping Costs

  • ⁠Product prices do not include shipping costs, which are determined based on packaging and transport expenses. Packaging is charged at a fixed rate of € [•] ([•] euros) per bottle, while transport costs vary according to the total weight of the order and the delivery destination.
  • ⁠The exact shipping cost can be checked and simulated in the shopping cart after adding the desired products and providing the requested information. The final amount will also be automatically calculated at checkout.
  • Shipping rates and calculation criteria may be changed at any time without prior notice.


6.⁠ ⁠Orders and Payments

  • Orders are placed online through the WooCommerce system.
  • After confirming the purchase, the customer will receive an email with the order summary.
  • ⁠Orders will only be processed once payment has been confirmed. If payment is not completed within 24 hours, the order will be automatically cancelled.

  • All payments are processed securely.
  • Tarelo is not responsible for any conversion fees charged by financial institutions.



7.⁠ ⁠Deliveries

  • Deliveries are made within Portuguese territory.
  • The average delivery time is [•] to [•] business days, except in cases of stock shortages.
  • The customer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the delivery address. Tarelo cannot be held liable for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect addresses or recipient absence.
  • In the event of a stock shortage, the customer will be informed and may choose an alternative product, wait for restocking, or cancel the purchase with a full refund.
  • The customer must inspect the products upon delivery. If the packaging is damaged, the issue must be reported to the carrier and immediately communicated to Tarelo.


8.⁠ ⁠Returns and Right of Withdrawal

  •  Under Portuguese Decree-Laws No. 109-G/2021 and No. 84/2021, customers have 14 days from receipt of their order to exercise their right of free withdrawal, without needing to provide justification.
  • To exercise this right, customers must contact geral@tarelo.pt, providing the order number, full name, and address.
  • Products must be returned in their original condition, with intact packaging. Returns of opened or damaged bottles will not be accepted.
  • ⁠Refunds will be issued after the returned products are received and verified.


9.⁠ ⁠Data Protection

  • Personal data is processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Collected data is used exclusively for order processing, customer communication, and legal compliance.

10.⁠ ⁠Liability

  •  Tarelo is not responsible for temporary service interruptions, technical failures, or damages resulting from misuse of the website.
  • Tarelo is not liable for shipments to countries whose legislation restricts the import of alcoholic beverages. Customers are responsible for any customs duties or confiscations.


11.⁠ ⁠Intellectual Property

  • All website content – including text, images, logos, trademarks, and design – is the property of TARELO AZORES WINES, LDA. and is protected by copyright laws.
  • Reproduction, distribution, or use without prior authorization from Tarelo is strictly prohibited.


12.⁠ ⁠Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.
  • In case of dispute, the competent court is the District Court of Évora.
  • Pursuant to Article 18 of Law No. 144/2015, of September 8, consumers may also refer disputes to the following entity:
