Arinto dos Açores is one of Pico’s oldest and most traditional grape varieties, perfectly adapted to the island’s currais (stone-walled vineyards), its volcanic basalt soils, and the constant Atlantic influence. The wine reveals striking mineral aromas, notes of salinity, and hints of citrus. On the palate, it’s vibrant and precise, with endless freshness and remarkable longevity.
This is the style of wine once enjoyed by the Russian tsars — a natural dessert wine of rare character. Produced from grapes with naturally high sugar levels, intensified by gentle dehydration on the vine, it is made without any addition of alcohol.
